FADU Announces Global Executive Team

Mountain View, Calif., – FADU is a fabless semiconductor start up focused on advancing flash storage devices. Founded in 2015, the company is dedicated to developing and deploying a new, more efficient architecture for solid-state drive (SSD) controllers and storage products that meets the explosively increasing data demands placed on enterprise datacenters.

Built based on three groups of talented people, brilliant architects including five Ph.Ds, highly trained ASIC experts, and seasoned SSD engineers from leading memory and storage companies, the FADU team has comprehensive capabilities to innovate the enterprise storage industry.

Meet the Co-founders

Jack Lee is CEO and co-founder of FADU. He is a former partner at Bain & Capital and a successful serial entrepreneur involved in multiple businesses in technology, telecom and energy. He successfully led and initiated Bain & Capital’s technology sector focus, including semiconductor and display panel components, devices (mobile and TV) and services (cloud and internet/contents). Jack has been a C-level advisor to global technology companies, leading projects to solve key strategic issues. As CEO of FADU, he has established FADU as a fabless semiconductor innovator, uniting exceptional industry talent to create a revolution in data center and storage for next generation computing architectures. He has BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from Seoul National University and a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dae Keun (DK) Lee is the COO and a co-founder of FADU. Mr. Lee is responsible for day to day operations of the company. Before joining FADU, he was a VP of finance at Sapphire Technology and worked as a senior software engineer at Grtg, a Korean start-up. DK holds a Bachelors Arts in Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Creating a new Approach 

FADU is addressing all aspects of the Flash-based enterprise storage solution – very lower power, ultra-high performance, rich feature set, solid reliability and a superior QoS. Meet Harry Chung who leads the prestigious product development team for FADU.

Harry Chung is the Chief Product Officer of FADU.  Mr. Chung is responsible for many of the technology advances of the company. Prior to FADU, he held executive positions at Samsung, and SK Hynix and was the CTO at Indilinx. He is a graduate of Seoul National University.

Meet the U.S. Team

In 2018, FADU expanded to the United States and opened an office in Mountain View, California. The U.S. team is led by John Baskett and Anu Murthy.

John Baskett is responsible for sales, business development and strategic partnerships at FADU. He is a seasoned professional, working in the global semiconductor and technology industry, with experience in server architecture, networking, data centers, and storage. Prior to FADU, John was the President and Founder of Volantix, a consultancy practice guiding NVMe SSD manufactures, and executive positions at Memblaze Technologies, Calexda and Broadcom.

Anu Murthy is vice president of marketing for FADU. She is a recognized leader in the Flash storage industry and a seasoned executive with experience in architecture, strategy, marketing and business development with a keen ability to embrace and drive technology that has a profound impact on the industry. Prior to FADU, Anu held key positions at storage leaders Seagate, Toshiba, SanDisk and Samsung.
